Welcome to The Resource Exchange!

On behalf of our staff, volunteers and over 2000 people throughout the Pikes Peak Region who receive our services and supports, we are pleased to welcome you to The Resource Exchange (TRE). TRE is a vibrant organization dedicated to building independence for people with developmental disabilities.

Founded in 1964, TRE has been providing a range of services to children and adults with developmental disabilities. As a Colorado community centered board, our function in Colorado’s developmental disability system is to coordinate and integrate formal and generic developmental disability supports and services by providing quality assurance and service oversight, and building and cultivating a community-based support system that fosters independence and the realization of each individual’s goals for their own lives.

As TRE pursues its mission, we are guided by our intractable core values: Respect, Integrity, Partnership, Excellence and Accountability. We strive to be nimble, relevant, responsive, innovative and transformative. We have an array of services available for children and adults with developmental disabilities. We hope you’ll explore our web site and spend time learning more about TRE and the work we do. We believe that trust comes from transparency and our fiscal report is available to the public for review at any time.
