Resolutions are important because they provide a clear roadmap for personal and professional growth. They help us identify areas where we can improve and set specific, achievable goals to work towards. Reflecting on the past year allows us to celebrate our successes and learn from our challenges, giving us valuable insights into what strategies worked and what didn’t. This reflection is crucial for setting realistic and meaningful goals for the new year, ensuring that we continue to grow and make progress. By setting resolutions, we commit to a path of continuous improvement, which ultimately leads to a better quality of life and greater satisfaction in our personal and professional endeavors.
2024 was an amazing 60th anniversary milestone for The Resource Exchange, and we’re so excited to keep the momentum going into 2025! We’re more committed than ever to finding better, smarter ways to support and uplift the disability community, always striving to make a real difference in the lives of the people we serve.
Here are a FIVE of our resolutions and the changes you can expect to see this year:
Easier access to information
We’ve streamlined our navigation menus to help families find information faster. The simplified top menu now includes a direct link to donate, a “Get Involved” section with resources like our calendar and newsletter sign-up, and a “Make an Impact” section for ways to support our mission.
Monthly newsletter
We are bringing back the TRE Newsletter, now with monthly updates rather than every quarter. There is so much that happens in the span of a month, from HCPF updates and daily celebrations that we want to share with you! Additionally, a monthly format delivers relevant information in an efficient way, straight to your inbox when it matters most. Gone are the days of long emails with outdated information.
Subscribe to be an insider to all things TRE, from updates about our organization, industry news, heartwarming stories from our members, and more!
Share resources
A core part of our mission statement is our advocacy for independence and inclusion, which goes beyond our day-to-day service coordination for our members. We want to showcase that we not only directly serve this community, but we are advocating on an educational and outreach level as well.
One of the ways we are going to accomplish this is through sharing helpful information in the form of blog posts – from guides to our services to accessible resources, our partners in the community, and more.
Showcase our Best Workplaces Attitude
We are proud to be honored by The Gazette’s Best Workplaces Awards for seven years. It is through our incredible staff that we are able to serve over 13,000 individuals in Southern Colorado.
We worked diligently over the past year to hire the very best staff to fill remaining vacant positions, with us at a current fill rate of over 90%. In 2025 we will be continuing our focus on hiring the very best staff to provide the consistency and stability that our members need.
Roll out the Vault
We will be rolling out a portal in 2025 for people we serve to see their information and where they are in the process of receiving services. This system is intended to improve communication and streamline access to your personal information. Our goal is to improve TRE’s internal and external case management processes for staff, providers, and members.
So, what are your New Year’s Resolutions?
How will you make a positive impact in the coming year? Let’s work together to create a brighter future for everyone.
